UK: Annual Retail Price Index grows less than expected in April

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Year-over-year the UK Retail Price Index rose 2.9% in April, down from the 3.3% increase registered the previous month, National Statistics reported on Tuesday. Analysts expected the indicator to rise more by 3.1%.

On a monthly basis the UK Retail Price Index edged up 0.3%, slightly down from the 0.4% rise and below consensus of +0.5%.

UK: Annual PPI – Output rises 1.1% in April

In the year to April 2013 UK PPI – Output n.s.a. grew 1.1% , in comparison with a increase of 1.9% the previous month, National Statistics reported today. Analysts expected more growth of 1.5%. On a monthly basis UK PPI – Output n.s.a. fell 0.1% in April, following a 0.2% rise in March and against market consensus of no change.
