SNB Jordan: end to franc cap policy had to be a surprise

FXStreet (London) - Swiss National Bank chairman Thomas Jordan is currently speaking at a press conference following the central bank’s decision announced this morning to stop defending the EURCHF1.200 level.

The SNB chairman has said that the SNB’s exit from the SNB cap in the franc wasn’t a panic decision, but said that such a move had to be a surprise.
